GXP is gearing up for P3DL 2026!

Join GXP at the Photogrammetry, 3D Visualization, and Lidar Community of Practice Conference at NGA, July 27–31.

At this year’s event, we’re excited to discuss how automation can help accelerate 3D feature creation, turning complex data into usable geospatial context faster. We’ll also be talking about the future of 3D exploitation and targeting, where immersive, precise, and mission-ready views of the operational environment can support better understanding and decision-making. Additional key areas of focus will include:

  • Agentic AI: How intelligent systems can move beyond assistance to help orchestrate workflows, surface insights, and reduce analytic burden.
  • Space domain awareness: Including the challenges and opportunities of non-Earth imaging and non-Earth registration as missions expand beyond traditional geospatial frames of reference.
  • Multi-INT pattern of life analysis: Bringing diverse sources together to reveal activity, behavior, and change over time.

Finally, we’re proud to announce the integration of unclassified Mensuration Services Program (MSP) capabilities into the SOCET GXP® baseline, enabling broader engineering collaboration that will accelerate implementation and help expedite future classified MSP upgrades. This advancement also expands sensor models access for international users, providing previously unavailable accuracy across mission workflows.

The goal of the conference is to drive collaborative innovation that answers current and emerging DOW, DHS, DOJ, and Intelligence Community (IC) needs as well as explore capabilities for precise geopositioning/targeting, precision mensuration, 3D visualization, lidar, and 3D data related technologies. Attendees from across the U.S. government, academia, and industry are invited to collaborate on innovations in sensor advancement, algorithm development, and tradecraft. We strive to create an environment where participants can discuss successes and challenges, and exchange ideas on future endeavors.

From Pixel to Precision: Building the 3D Foundation of Tomorrow’s GEOINT

As commercial environments embrace the utilization of digital twins in a myriad of functional use cases (engineering development, architecture, and design), the capabilities of these workflows have evolved dramatically over time. To this end, NGA SOURCE has unveiled both a desire and a path to establish a robust 3D Foundational Data Environment.

Recent commercial advances in the delivery of enhanced accuracy and efficiency in terrain modeling, utilization of 3D data for targeting with full error propagation, and 3D simulation and streaming capabilities have provided glimpses into this future environment. This panel discussion will engage and discuss the near-term capabilities, the roadmap for use moving forward, and how these advances could impact mission-critical geospatial workflows.

Accelerating GEOINT tradecraft through advanced GeoAI workflows

As the GEOINT community works to build a more secure tomorrow, analysts must transform massive, multi-sensor data into reliable insight at operational speed. Simultaneously, the move toward AI-assisted exploitation and cloud-based production is raising expectations for speed, interoperability, and analytic consistency.

Organizations across the community are now determining how to adopt these capabilities in ways that reinforce, rather than disrupt, core analytic tradecraft.

This session highlights how applied GeoAI elevates GEOINT tradecraft to meet emerging mission needs. We illustrate how AI-enabled exploitation methods integrate with established analytic workflows to improve quality, accelerate time-to-insight, and scale the production of consistent, defensible intelligence.

Key themes include:

  • Improving analytic accuracy and repeatability using commercial and open-source AI models for detection, classification, and data quality.
  • Enhancing geospatial production by embedding AI into structured workflows that shorten time from imagery collection to actionable intelligence.
